More Funded Childcare Hours, Now Available at The Learning Tree Monmouth
Great news for Monmouth families, The Learning Tree Monmouth now offers Early Education funding, meaning we can now offer 100% of the available Welsh childcare funding to eligible families, available for immediate starts.
This funding is usually only available through school-based nurseries, but as an approved private nursery, we're proud to now bring this same support directly to families in Monmouth.
What this means for your family:
30 hours of funded childcare for eligible 3- and 4-year-olds during term time, through Early Education funding
Combined with our existing Childcare Offer funding, which supports eligible working families with funded hours during term time and school holidays
Flying Start funding for eligible 2-year-olds, offering 12.5 funded hours per week

This funding can now be accessed in full at The Learning Tree Monmouth, with eligible children able to receive up to 30 funded hours per week at our nursery for 48 weeks of the year.
How funding is typically accessed during term time:
- Children can recieve up to 30 hours per week in a private day nursery setting, such as the Learning Tree Monmouth
School holidays:
When schools are closed for holidays, families can continue to claim their full 30 funded hours per week for up to 48 weeks of the year.
Funding period:
Funding is available for 48 weeks of the year.
This means 4 weeks per year are unfunded, and fees for those weeks are payable by parents.

Flying Start Funding for 2 and 3 Year Olds
The Learning Tree Monmouth is a registered Flying Start provider!
Families who are eligible for Flying Start funding can receive up to 12.5 hours of funded childcare per week during term time at our Monmouth nursery.
Flying Start funding:
• Is available to eligible families living within qualifying postcode areas
• Typically begins from the term after your child turns two
• Is delivered in line with Welsh Government Flying Start guidelines
